Welding Technology Program

In our program, we train qualified welding technicians with both theoretical knowledge and practical skill which are needed by relevant industrial sectors. 

Some of our graduates who have all kinds of knowledge and skills in the field of welding technology, and who have basic metallurgy and material issues work in the industry. Some of them study at 4-year Metallurgical and Materials Engineering thanks to Vertical Transfer Exam.

The welding technology program accepted its first students in 2012. Program content is updated in collaboration with industry representatives and Industry 4.0 is also taken into consideration. In our program, basic technical education subjects, such as; material science and material selection, technical drawing and professional drawing, oxy-gas welding technique and under gas welding techniques, plastic forming processes are given importance.

In our program, students who graduated from technical vocational high schools, technical high schools and students who graduated from other high schools are successfully trained.

With the 3 + 1 education model applied in our school, each student performs full-time internships for 16 weeks. In this way, our students experience the advantages of graduating by gaining experience. Many of our students are hired by the factories that they complete their long-term internship.

Our graduates can work as technicians in the machinery, aviation, automotive, construction, ship building industry, in factories that process iron-steel, aluminium and copper alloys.
