In order to train the intermediate staff needed in the industry and transportation sector in Arifiye, which has strategic and economic importance, it was   decided to establish “Arifiye Vocational School” with the decision taken in Sakarya University Senate on 23.12.2010. 

It was officially established on 25.01.2011 as a result of its approval by the Higher Education Council. It is located at a distance of 1 km from Sakarya University Central campus and accessible from all the important points in the city and districts by a vehicle.

Arifiye Vocational School accepted its first students in 2012 with two departments and three programs. 

It is a higher education institution that trains qualified staff needed by our country and the business world. It is a 2-year associate degree with 3 + 1 Applied Education Model.

At the beginning, there were 3 classrooms, 1 Computer Laboratory, 1 Welding Laboratory, 1 Automotive Laboratory, 1 Auto Paint Bodywork in our school.

The current area of ​​our Vocational School is 7000 m2, however, another 30.000 m2 area was donated to our school. Our new 3-storey building with offices and classrooms was put into service on November 24, 2014. Classrooms and administrative offices were moved here in March 2015.

Our Vocational School was incorporated into the “Sakarya University of Applied Sciences” by leaving “Sakarya University” in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 7141 published in the Official Gazette No: 30425 dated May 18, 2018.
