Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program

 

Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program aims to train the intermediate labour force that will work in the field of installation, manufacturing and operation of heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Air conditioning-cooling technicians can work in factories or workshops belonging to public institutions or private institutions, in cold storages or open a private repair shop.

Purpose of the Program: The aim of the Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program is to train the intermediate labour force that will work in the field of installation, manufacturing and operation of heating, cooling and ventilation systems. 

The main courses taught in the program are:  Technical Drawing, Cooling Technologies, Heating Systems, Heat Technique, Computer Aided Installation Design, Maintenance Technologies, Scientific Principles of Technology, Mathematics, Air Conditioning Principles.

Titles Acquired by Graduates and Their Responsibilities: Those who complete the Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology Program are given the title of "Air Conditioning-Cooling Technician". Air conditioning-cooling technician carries out the planned works for the construction, installation and operation of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems of buildings under the supervision and management of the mechanical engineer; assembles engines, lays pipes, maintains and repairs the system. In addition, they have the right for "Vertical Transfer" to Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering and Industrial Engineering Departments.

With the 3 + 1 education model applied in our school, each student performs full-time internships for 16 weeks. In this way, our students experience the advantages of graduating by gaining experience. Many of our students are hired by the factories that they complete their long-term internship.
